The Management Committee is elected at the Centre's Annual General Meeting in September each year. Prior to the meeting, parents are requested to nominate if they are interested in becoming a member. Your commitment will be to attend one Committee meeting per month, plus Sub-Committee meetings as required where your particular skills and experience are valued. You may also volunteer to assist at the Centre's social functions.
You may not wish to commit yourself to the Management Committee but your specialist skills may be useful to one of our sub-committees, either on a regular basis or just from time to time as needs arise.
Are you able to assist on our Building & Grounds Sub-Committee with your landscaping experience? Can you provide advice on legal documents? Do you have financial expertise?
If you are willing to help in any area, please speak to our Centre Director and let her know your skills, your availability and how you could assist.
As a member of one of the Centre's families (father, grandmother, etc) you may like to visit our children to read them a story, talk about your occupation i.e. a Doctor showing x-rays, or undertake a show and tell session about your hobby i.e. knitting or gardening. Children love special visitors and learning something new - plus, our carers will help you with your presentation.
You may have skills and experience to assist us in certain areas or with special projects, such as the library, artwork or woodwork.
You could also volunteer to assist with the running of the Centre's social functions or our Working Bees from time to time.
Please speak to the Centre's Director with offers or assistance.
