The National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) supports and assists families by setting high quality standards for child care services in Australia and overseeing the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS).
This system aims to provide children throughout Australia with high quality care that best promotes their learning and development in the vital early years.
The broad objective of the QIAS is to ensure that children in long day care have stimulating positive experiences and interactions that foster all aspects of their development. It does this by defining quality in long day care and by providing a framework for measuring quality in a childcare setting. (Source: NCAC Handbook, Third Edition, 2005).
Margaret Ives Children’s Centre achieved very high quality in all areas in their latest Accreditation Quality Profile. Our staff are always happy to discuss our accreditation standards with parents.
